To start students on the right track in their journey to becoming better athletes and healthier individuals, there will be a short series of posts relevant to health and everything that is relevant to it. The first post in this series pertains to eating habits.
Students´ should aim;
1.To be able to identify the components of a balanced diet
2.To understand how our diet provides energy for sport
3.To understand why diet is important for sport
4.To be able to identify what we should eat for specific sports
Eating healthfully means getting the right balance of nutrients your body needs to perform every day. A
healthy eating plan includes:
❖ fruits and vegetables
❖ fat-free or low-fat milk and
milk products
❖ lean meats, poultry, fish,
beans, eggs, and nuts
❖ whole grains
To read about how you can follow a more healthy eating plan, please take a look at the following link created by the NIDDK for teenagers.

If you ever have any questions about your diet or if you are just curious about food and how you can use it to become healthier, please do not hesitate to approach any of the PE department (Approach me specifically for advice in English).
